OLFACTORY INDICATORS :-
Olfactory indicators are those which can be used to identify an acid or a base with the helps of the smell produced after adding them in the solution.
SOME OLFACTORY INDICATORS :-
● ONION - Onion is one of the olfactory indicator. When it is added to an acidic solution its characteristic smell cannot be detected whereas when it is added to a basic solution its characteristic smell can be detected.
● VANILA - When it is added to an acidic solution its smell cannot be detected b
whereas in a basic solution it can be detected.
