In unicellular organisms, all the functions are performed by a single cell. Whereas in complex organism they are mostly multi cellular and various Functions are done by various kinds of cells.

In the human body, there are billions of cells that perform various functions in the body. Such an organisation of complex system is very effective for the better coordination of various cell activities in the organism.
