Organometallic Compounds. Compounds that contain a metal-carbon bond, R-M, are known as "organometallic" compounds. Organometallic compounds of Li, Mg (Grignard reagents) are amongst some of the most important organicreagents. Many other metals have been utilised, for example Na, Cu and Zn.
