ANSWER :

Plant hormones are the chemical messengers present in body of plants which helps in their growth and differentiation or we can say which regulates the physiological activities of plants.

Like animals, plants also do not require hormones in large amount. Small amount is sufficient to control their functions.

Some examples of plant hormones are given below :

i) Auxin.

ii) Gibberellins.

iii) Cytokinins.

iv) Ethylene.

v) Abscisic acid.
