Answer:

PARALLELS OF LATITUDE ARE THOSE CIRCLES GOING NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE EQUATOR,THEY NEVER MEET.

MERIDIANS OF LONGITUDES ARE THOSE SEMICIRCLES STARTING FROM THE NORTH POLE TO THE SOUTH POLE AND THEY INTERSECT AT THE POLES.

THE MIDDLE OF THE LATITUDES IS KNOWN AS EQUATOR ,WHEREAS THE MIDDLE OF THE MERIDIANS IS KNOWN AS THE PRIME MERIDIAN.

THESE ARE JUST THE IMAGINARY LINES MADE TO LOCATE PLACES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES AND THERE ARE NO LINES LIKE THIS ON THE GROUND.

GREENWICH IS LOCATED ON THE PRIME MERIDIAN AND THE TIME THERE IS KNOWN AS THE ( GMT)

"GREENWICH MERIDIAN TIME".

Explanation:

using the North pole and the South pole as the basic reference points, two sets of imaginary Circles are drawn around the globe to help us locate places.

Parallels of latitude :- one set of Circles is drawn horizontally between the two poles . These Circles are parallel to each other and are called parallels to latitude.

Meridian of longitude :- The other sets of Circles is drawn through the poles. Half of each Circle, running from the North pole to South pole, is called a meridian of longitude.
