Periods refers to the disintegration of the old egg and the uterus lining in the form of blood which is expelled out of the female body through vagina.

It usually takes place from 2 to 5 days after every 28 days.

Menstruation also known as periods occur in every girl at the age of puberty. This happens when the ovaries produce a matured egg, and its not fertilised, it comes down in the uterus. And further it dies and this results in bleeding. Also it pains sometimes. Duration for a menstrual cycle is 28 days.. It occurs in order to get enough space for the baby..
