Phosphorescent elements are some elements which blows in dark time, which is due to the reaction with oxygen .

phosphoscent elements absorbs light and will hold it for a longer time before emitting it back . The emission takes place slowly only. So even if we show it in light for some time, it can glow for more time when placed in dark the very next moment. zinc sulphide and strontium aluminate are examples
