Chemical changes and Physical Changes are both a type of changes...

Chemical changes :

  • A chemical change is irreversible
  • There is a new substance formed when there is a chemical change (at molecular level) ex : Water changing in H2 and O2 gas.

The new sunstance should form at molecular level because, at supervision level (at our level of sight) many changes are thought to have formed new substances but they have not

ex : chalk converting into powdered chalk, here they seem to have formed new substance but at molecular level they are the same

Physical change :

  • A physical change is reversible change
  • There is no new substance formed in Physical Change

If you are a 6 - 7 grader than that molecular level thing can be negligible for you, so don't worry if you don't understand that, just keep in mind that New substance is formed in Chemical change
