Actually, Planktons are the small microscopic organisms that lives in oceanic water. They are made up of tiny plants called as 'Phytoplanktons' and animals that are regarded as ' Zooplanktons'. Phytoplankton are microscopic green oceanic algae and Zooplanktons are tiny, microscopic animals.
Actually, Planktons are the important source of food for large animals. They are mostly eaten by Whales.

There are two Types of Planktons:-
1). Phytoplankton=> These are the small, tiny, microscopic green oceanic algae that float on water. They help in Photosynthesis. They also include blue-green algae, diatoms and dinoflagellates.

2). Zooplanktons=> These are the small, weak, tiny, microscopic animals in the ocean. Zooplanktons can be a plant eater or herbivores.
