Plantation crops are crops that are grown on a large piece of land; one crop is generally grown in a plantation for widespread commercial sale and is usually tended by dedicated, resident labourers. Cotton, Coffee, Tea, Cocoa, Sugar Cane, Sisal, Oil Seeds, Rubber and various fruits are typical examples of plantation crops.
Fibre crops can be classified as field crops grown for their fibres, which are typically used to make cloth, paper and rope. Jute, silk and cotton are examples of fibre crops. Viscose and rayon are modified versions of natural fibre, the source being wood pulp.
