plastics are organic materials just like wood or.wool..which made.by synthetic fibre..... the term plastic includes materials composed of various elements such as carbon, hydrogen,oxygen, chlorine, nitrogen and sulphur,..plastics typically have high molecular weight , meaning each molecularly can have thousands of atoms bound together.
◆◆◆◆◆ plastics are mostly synthetic materials made from polymers. plastics are derived from materials found in nature such as natural gas, coal, petroleum, oil ,minerals etc.....
plastics are classified into 2 types;
1.thermoplastics
2.thermosetting plastics.
let us know about thermoplastics:
●●●●
these are the plastics which can be moulded or softened easily by any atmospheric temperature.
e.g bottles,plastic glasses etc...
thermosetting plastics◆◆◆
>>>>. these can't be moulded easily
eg.malemine,bakelite
there are 7 types of plastics;
1.polyvinyl chloride(pvc)
2.high density polyethylene (hdpe)
3.low density polyethylene(ldpe)
4. polyethylene terephthalate (pet)
5.polypropylene(pp)
6. polystyrene ( ps)
7.others.
plastics are very harmful to us at a time they are very useful............
advantages of plastics;;
◆they are very light ,durable ,easy to handle,w water resistant, strong etc...
◆ plastics using widely all around the world
disadvantages of plastics:::
◆ they pollute the environment
◆danger to wildlife
◆ do not degrade easily
◆pose difficulties during recycling.
mostly cows are to be effective because they plastics in towns . digestion does not occurs.
