A pollutant is a substance that present in concentratrations that may harm organisms ( humans, plants & animals) or exceed an environment quality standard.

biodegradable ;- the pollutants which decompose by natural biological agents are called biodegradable pollutants.

e.g ;- vegetable peels.

non- biodegradable ;- the pollutants which do not decompose are called non- biodegradable pollutants.

e.g ;- plastics.
