Pollutants are the substances which created pollution mostly in air and water.There are two types of pollutants-•Air pollutants and •Water pollutants.

•Air pollutants-Pollutants which contaminates the air and due to which many diseases are caused are called air pollutants.Like-Smoke and dust from volcanoes and factories,forests fires, burning of fossil fuels,e.t.c.

•Water pollutants-Pollutants which contaminates the water and make it unfit for drinking and to be used for other activities are called as water pollutants.Like-Throwing waste materials in water,throwing excreta in water bodies,sewage disposal in water, disposal of religious materials/things in water,e.t.c.
