What are polyatomic ions? Give examples.

Polyatomic atoms are the group of atoms that have a net charge on them. Hence ions are charged particles .

Example : Sulphate ion --- SO4⁻² sulphate ion contains atoms of sulphur and oxygen atoms with a net charge of -2.
