Advantagas-
through politisation, the unprivileged or disadvantaged groups get chance of having an equal representation without discrimination in the country

through this democracy enhance and people are able to live peacefully in a nation irrespective of the social divisions and thus help in easy going of a country

Example in the case of Belgium

Disadvantages-
some political parties or groups use this as a means of winning elections and to do this, they sometimes support the wrong demands of the suppressed groups

this also needs to widening of social divisions as the opposing group feels alienated and discriminated by the government which makes it difficult for the government to accommodate people in the same country

example in the case of Sri Lanka

When existing social divisions enter into politics it has huge chances of turning into a political division. This can also lead to the disintegration and lead to political and economical instability
It can lead to people of one community being Targeted against the other.

Many people of a community choose to vote leaders that speak for their community exclusively and is from their community but this doesn't lead to the disintegration of the country.
It is only natural in a democracy that various social divisions are expressed in politics.
