•Rational numbers are basically fractions where the denominator is not equal to zero. q/p where p is not equal to 0.

•Positive rational numbers are fractions greater than 0. For example... 3/2, 8/3 and 9/7.

•Negative rational numbers are fractions with a negative/minus sign or the ones which are smaller than 0. For example.... -7/8, -9/2 and -65/89.
