Explanation:

Neils Bohr has proposed few postulates for atomic structure .

(a) Atoms be spherical & heavy +be charge be exist at the centre of atom is called nucleus .

(b) Electrons will revolve around the nucleus on circular path only in permitted orbits & these orbit are stable .

(c) Required centripetal force for the circular motion of electron be provided by electrostatic force of attraction between the nucleus .

(d) Electron will revolve in only those orbit whose angular momentum be integral multiple n(h/2π)

I.e mvr = nh/2π

where , n = 1,2,3 , n = 1,2,3

n = principal quantum no.

Energy of nth orbit: As we know electron revolves around the nucleus in a circular path so , electron has kinetic energy & potential energy both .

•°• The total energy of election

E = Ek + EP

Ep = -ke²/r

Ep = -ke²/n²h² × 4π²*me²*k

= k²e²4π²*me²/n²h² = -4π²me⁴k²/n²h²

Ek = 1/2mv²

v = e²/2nhE° = k2πe²/nh

Ek = 1/2m(k²4π²me⁴k²/n²h²

As , E = Ek + Ep = 1/2*4πme²k²/n2h² - 4π²me⁴k²/n²h²

E = -4π²me⁴k²/2π²h²
