Defination :-

A preposition is a word placed before a noun or a pronoun to show the relation with other verb or noun in the sentence.

Example : -

  • The puppy hid under the table.
  • He is very fond of Chocolates
  • The girls are playing in the garden.

Kinds of Preposition

  • Simple Preposition :- at, by, for, from, in, on, out, till, to , up, with, through
  • Compound Preposition:- Generally formed by adding a prefix to a word such as - across , along, around, behind, inside, outside, within, without
