Prepositions are words which begin prepositional phrases. A prepositional phrase is a group of words containing a preposition, a noun or pronoun object of the preposition, and any modifiers of the object. For example :- (1) the cat is ON the table . (2) the dog jumped INTO the well. (3) the man is sitting INSIDE the car .
