The pressure groups consists of people who work towards the promotion of their party and also have an agenda in mind.


In this way they are able to target the people and make sure they get attracted towards the party.


The only motive is to seek their attention and offer them the help they are looking for.

A  pressure group can be described as an organized group that does not put up candidates for election, but seeks to influence government policy or legislation.

Their 4 functions are to :-

1.respond exam style question on Pg functions

2.outline a range of functions performed by pressure groups

3.promote discussion and debate and mobilize public opinion in key issues.

4.enthuse individuals groups and sway the public to take up their cause.
