Epidermis is the protective tissue of plant
it acts as an layer which prevent
(i) loss of water from leaves to stem
(ii) mechanical injury
(iii) infection of parasites

The protective tissues of any normal plant is "epidermis."

These tissues are a hard layer of cells which protects plant from every external hazards.

These tissues are also responsible for the evaporation through the plant trunks.

These epidermis tissues are mainly situated at the hard skin layer of the plant trunk,which is very rigid and has a top physical characteristics
