PS-I is involved in both cyclic and non-cyclic photophosphorylation whereas PS-II is involved in non-cyclic photophosphorylation. In PS-I, molecular oxygen is not involved whereas in PS-II, molecular oxygen is evolved and photolysis of water takes place.
