Answer:

Pumice !!

Pumice is another light coloured (light grey or cream) igneous rock. It is formed by Quick cooling of lava. Frothy lava contains a lot of dissolved gases.

As the Lava cools, the gases trapped inside it escape out, forming holes in the rock. This makes it very porous and light.

That is why it can float on water. Pumice stone is used in making light-weight building materials like concrete blocks.

It is also used as a scrubber to remove dead skin frok the body and as a teeth polishing powder by dentists.

Answer: Pumice rock is a volcanic rock that has

pores in it. The holes that hold air makes

the density of the rock lesser than the

density of water. Due to it a pumice rock

floats on water.
