A query can give you an answer to a simple question, perform calculations, combine data from different tables, add, change, or delete data from a database. Since queries are so versatile, there are many types of queries and you would create a type of query based on the task.

"Usually the queries are built with the SQL commands.

In base, it allows to create simple queries by clicking and uses the syntax that are available. In base, select the icon “Queries” that is present in left side under the Database. The command box is labelled with Execute SQL Statement, enable by the SQL icon in the Tools menu. The user can design the query in base by clicking the Queries icon, which displays three options “Create Query in Design View”, “Use Wizard to Create Query” and “Create Query in SQL view” under the tasks."
