RAM is a type of volatile memory. Data in RAM is not permanently written. When you power off your computer the data stored in RAM is deleted. ROM is a type of non- volatile memory. Data in ROM is permanently written and is not erased when you power off your computer.

About RAM :

The full name of RAM is Random Access Memory, it works only when our mobile or computer is turned on or working. All the RAM data gets erased when the mobile / computer is shut down.

In other words, whenever you download an application, it is saved in your internal memory, but when you use that application, it runs in RAM.

Ram's size is much less than Rom but the speed of RAM is much higher than the speed of Rom, so it is also said that the more your phone's RAM, the faster your phone will work.
