The branch of the conidiophore is known as ramus (plural rami) which further becomes branched known as metulae. A number of flask-shaped phialid or sterigmata develops at the tip of each metulae.spinulosum) with unbranched conidiophore, the sterigmata develops at the tip of conidiophore.
