rational numbers are those numbers which can be represented in p/q form where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0 .
examples of rational numbers are 7/85 ,2/548,458/2358965 etc...
but 1/0, 548/0 etc... any number having 0 as it's denominator is not a rational number .

The numerators in the numbers 5/9, -3/1, 14/5, -10/4 are integers while their denominators are non-zero integers. Hence, These are rational numbers.

If p is any integer and q, any non-zero integer, then, p/q is a rational number.
