RBC are the Red Blood Cells. This cells contains respiratory pigment called haemoglobin which give red colour of the blood.

Functions of RBC are:

✔ The primary function of red blood cells, or erythrocytes, is to carry oxygen from the lungs to the body tissues and carbon dioxide as a waste product, away from the tissues and back to the lungs.

✔To pick up oxygen from the lungs and deliver it to tissues elsewhere.

✔To pick up carbon dioxide from other tissues and unload it in the lungs.
