Red Muscle:
- These are having myoglobin.
- These are having more number of mitochondria.
- These contract for longer time.
- These are reddish due to oxymyoglobin.
- Example - Back muscles
White Muscle:
- These don't have myoglobin.
- These are having less number of mitochondria.
- These contract for shorter time.
- These are whitish.
- Example - Eye lid muscles
Muscle tone:
It is a state of muscle fibres. It is very necessary for the posture and functioning of body.
