What are regular and irregular reflection? Explain with the help of diagram

Regular reflection:- It takes place when a beam of light falls on a smooth and polished surface. If a parallel beam of light is incident on a plane mirror, the reflected beam is also parallel and it has a fixed direction. It is due to regular reflection from a reflecting surface that we see our face distinctly in it.
Irregular reflection :- It takes place when the reflecting surface is not smooth or polished. In this case, the different portions of the surface reflect the incident light in different directions. If parallel beam of light is incident on a rough surface, the reflected light spreads in all directions.
