Resources can be defined as all those features of the environment which helps us produce things that satisfy our needs and are finally used by us.
There are 3 types of resources :
1. Natural Resources
2. Human made Resources
3. Human Resources


1.Natural resources -
natural resources can be classified into different groups depending on:
1. Stock (availability)
2.Origin
3.Level of development and use
4. Distribution

Everything that becomes useful to the living organisms on the planet can be considered as resources. So things like water, pure air, minerals, microorganisms and other few things can also be considered as resources.  

Resources can be divided in following categories:

1. Natural resources: Air, water, minerals like things fall under this category.
2. Man made resources

However, all the living organisms on the planet are utilizing the resources of the planet. But conserving those resources falls in the hands of humans across utilizing. Everyone can contribute in their own way to conserve the resources.

For example: Save water, start planting trees, save fuels like coal, start using public transport, use solar energy, harvest rainwater, stop cutting trees down and spread awareness about conserving the resources.
