Answer:

A reverberation, or reverb, is created when a sound or signal is reflected causing a large number of reflections to build up and then decay as the sound is absorbed by the surfaces of objects in the space – which could include furniture, people, and air.

Reverberation:- It is defined as the ability of producing sound even after stoppage from the source and that duration of phenomenon is known as reverberation time.

Some important points:-

  1. If there is no reverberation time of any room then that room is known as dead room.
  2. Reverberation duration should be average not too more or not too less.
  3. Reverberation time depends on the windows or the doors of a room.
  4. It also depends on people present in a room or in a hall.
  5. Reverberation time is inversely proportional to number of people present in a room or in a hall. It means more person less reverberation time and vice-versa.
