A reversible reaction is a reaction where the reactants form products, which react together to give the reactants back. A and B can react to form C and D or, in the reverse reaction, C and D can react to form A and B. This is distinct from reversible process in thermodynamics.

Reversible reactions are the type of reactions which can be reversed. For eg.,

N2 + 3H2 --> 2NH3

In the above stated example, if we mix hydrogen and Nitrogen in a specific ratio to form Ammonia gas and if we separate the products we will get back the reactants.
