Ruminants are mammals that are able to acquire nutrients from plant-based food by fermenting it in a specialized stomach prior to digestion, principally through microbial actions..
Step of nutrition in ruminants :-
1) Regurgitation :- Reverse peristalsis carries.
2) Remastication :- Liquid squeezed from bolus & swallows
Bolus cheewed
3) Reinsalivation :- Add more saliva
4) Redeglutition :- Swallowing bolus & liquids..
