Ruminants mainly include herbivores like cattles, goats, etc. They are called ruminants as they have chambered stomachs.

Biochemically, cellulose digestion requires beta amylase enzyme. But humans only have alpha amylase enzyme for digestion of starch.

For this reason, we can't digest cellulose.
