When a metal ion replaces Hydrogen ion then a salt is formed. Depending upon the number of Hydrogen ions replaced in the original acid molecule , the salts formed can be categorized as normal salts and acid salts. Examples :
2HCL + MgO - MgCl2 + H2O
H2SO4 + NaOH - NaHSO4 + H2O
