Explanation:

Salt are solid substance formed by cation and anion. For example

When hydrochloric acid reacts with sodium hydroxide it forms Sodium chloride and water

HCl + NaOH ----> NaCl + H2O

Here H is the positive and Cl- is the negative part of HCL . Also , Na+ is the positive part of NaOH and OH- is the negative part. When they both reacts Cl- and Na+ combine (unlike charges attract each other) and forms NaCl ( Salt) and OH- is attracted by H+ ions and form H20 (Water).

KCl (potassium chloride) CuSo4 (copper sulphate) , CaSO4•2H20 (Gypsum) and

CaSOr•½H20 ( plaster of Paris) etc. are different types of salts....
