The carbon compounds which contain single bond between the carbon atoms . These r also called as alkanes .
unsaturated hydrocarbons;
The carbon compounds which contain double or triple bond between the carbon atoms .
These are called as alkenes or alkyne

Saturated - Saturated Hydrocarbons are the hydrocarbons where there are only single bonds between the carbon atoms and no double or triple bonds.
eg: Alkanes are saturated hydrocarbons.
Unsaturated - Unsaturated Hydrocarbons are the hydrocarbons where there is at least one double or triple bond.
eg: Alkenes, Alkynes and Alkadienes are unsaturated hydrocarbons
