--->Scavengers are the organisms that eat dead and decaying material like dead animals, faeces of other organisms.
--->Scavengers helps in cleaning the environment by breaking down the organic material into smaller pieces.

Scavengers are very helpful as they eat dead animals and clean the space which would otherwise rot and stink. They are also necessary to maintain cleanliness in the environment as in if the dead animals are allowed to take a natural course of decomposition, it would pollute the air and spread diseases. Though they are given a name 'scavengers' they are the friends of mankind.
