Explanation:

Rocks are formed in layers from raw materials provided by the process of weathering, erosion , transportation and deposition. These processes are result of the action of the wind , glaciers , lakes.

These consolidated layered strata are known as stratified rocks.

Sediments consists of loose particles of gravel ,sand , silt and clay in various proportions. Sedimentary rocks are also called secondary rocks.
