Servers are the systems on the network which provides clients with the information or data they want...

Clients are the systems who asks the server for information....

eg.-

Taking internet as the network...

Ur internet service provider's servers that r hooked up to the net are the server... and when u browse the net u r the client...

hope this helps :)

Answer:

Client requests some information or resources to the server and the server processes and responds back over the network.

Explanation:

We can take a simple example in browsing a website, the client requests the webpage / index file to the server and the server responds back. For more information, this blog post on client server architecture on web have very simple explanation.
