Resistivity of a material is defined as the resistance offered by a cube of the material of side 1m when the current flows perpendicular to the opposite faces of the cube.
It's SI unit is Ohm metre.The siemens (symbol: S) is the SI derived unit of electric conductance and admittance, also known as the mho (ohm spelled backwards, symbol is ℧); it is the reciprocal of resistance in ohms (Ω).
