tomic mass of simple ions and polyatomic ions,then let me clear you that, simple ions will gave same mass as the original atom because, the ions are formed due to change in no. of electrons and electrons have negligible mass so they do not affect the atomic mass and the mass of polyatomic ions are calledas molar mass or formula mass and not as atomic mass and this mass is calculated by adding atomic mass of each atom in the polyatomic ion.
