They are made up of only one type of cell. Simple Permanent Tissues are again classified into 3 main types. They are Parenchyma, Collenchyma and Sclerenchyma.

Parenchyma:- The cells of the tissue are living with thin cell walls. Cells can be oval or round in shape.

Collenchyma:- Tissue strengthened by the thickness of the cell walls, as in young shoots.

Sclerenchyma:- Strengthening tissue in a plant formed from cells thickened, typically lignified walls.
