Skeletal ( or skeleton ) chemical equation is just a way using chemical formulae to represent chemical reactions.

For eg. The reaction of magnesium and oxygen to produce magnesium oxide can be representated in Skeletal ( or skeleton ) chemical equation as : -

2Mg + O2 ----> 2MgO
