Solid, Liquid, and Gas are the three states of matter.

  • Solid is a state of matter which has a definite shape and volume. Its molecules are densely packed as compared to the other two states.
  • The liquid is a state of matter which has a definite volume but no definite shape. It takes up the shape of a container in which it is stored. It has lesser dense molecules as compared to solids but is denser than gases.
  • Gas is the state of matter which does not have a definite shape and volume. It has the least dense molecular structure among the states of matter.
