Looking for Alaska by John Green - it completely changed my perspective on the world. The book taught me so much about love and loss. Would definitely recommend.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky - A coming-of-age novel that brings insight on to the world of a socially awkward teenager who just wants to fit in. With a tragic backstory, it misses a happy ending but does leave you with a lot to think about.
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart - The style in which this book is written is quite unique in my opinion and I just enjoyed reading it.
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn - One of the best thrillers I have ever read. The book is definitely better than the movie.
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini - This one should definitely classify as a classic. It left me heartbroken, in tears and with so many questions. Every line from this book will tug on your heartstrings. A must read. Please look up the trigger warnings beforehand, though.
Jasmine by Bharati Mukherjee - A spectacular tale of what it is like to have to completely alter your life.
