What are some connotative meanings of the word dream?

It depends, you want negative or positive? Cuz no-one can really give a good answer unless they have the context. 

However, as a word on its own, I guess some connotations are... Futility? Because dreams aren't reality. Deceit? Fairy-tales? Lies that seem real or achievable or attractive? Desire?
