What are some reasons given for not having joint family inherit the estate in fraternal polyandry?

Because in joint families each brother has his own wife and children, so each wife is worried for there own children and their wealth and betterment, but she will not be worried of other wife’s children in the house. In fraternal polyandry there is no family division as there is just one wife and all the children are treated same by their father even if they know its not their child.
