Echinoderms: 5-rayed symmetry, mostly radial. Most possess a through gut with an anus. Highly variable body shape, no head. Open circulatory system, though poorly defined. No excretory organs. Live in marine environments.

Arthropods: Live in every possible habitat. Jointed external skeleton. Pairs of jointed appendages. Bilateral symmetry.
